Meet PAULOS Gote

a storyteller driven by passion & purpose

Paulos Gote, born in 1972 in Ethiopia’s South Omo region, grew up amidst cultural richness and spiritual adversity. Raised in a family deeply committed to evangelical Christianity, Paulos witnessed the sacrifices of his father and brother under the Derg regime. His experiences shaped his passion for faith, justice, and community. As the first person from his ethnic group, the Malle, to migrate independently, Paulos endured political oppression, displacement, and the hardships of refugee life in Kenya before ultimately resettling in Canada.

Today, Paulos is a devoted humanitarian and spiritual leader, founding Galata Ministries to bridge cultural and denominational divides. Bearing the Burden of Nations is his memoir, blending personal trials, biblical reflections, and Ethiopian proverbs. The book offers an intimate look at his journey, from Ethiopia’s turmoil to his new life in Canada, while providing a powerful testament to resilience, faith, and the transformative power of God’s grace.
